Lisa Tackett is a Certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist with six years of experience. She holds an Associates of Science degree in Animal Science as well as being a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. At the University of Tennessee Lisa completed her Bachelor degree in Anthropology specializing in the subfields of Forensic, Environmental and Medical Anthropology.
While working as a large animal veterinary assistant Lisa discovered that there was a great need for individuals to specialize in equine massage. After witnessing multiple cases where equine massage and chiropractic procedures could have sped the healing process she took it upon herself to travel to Oklahoma to study at the Body Business School that housed the Equiflex program. As an Equiflex graduate she returned to Tennessee with the newly acquired skills that allowed for her to assist in the needs of specialty cases.
Lisa currently services most of the East Tennessee area and certain parts of Middle Tennessee. She has donated many hours of service to local equine placement agencies and equine retirement farms toward the care of rescued horses.
